What does Book 2 of the Iliad have in common with other scripture?
-Gods & god share many traits- merciful & vengeful
-Lists of names
-Direct connection between the people and the Gods.
-Morality (Agamemnon spurns the priest and has to deal with the consequences.)
-Eye for an eye
-Presence of Symbols (the gods carry their symbols, Thunder, Lighting, Vultures, ECT.)
-Presence of Faith
-Structure of the text
-Epithets/ Char description
