Review of books 8-10 of the Iliad
Book 8:
-Zeus uses his scales to decide which side of the war he will favor the day.
-Trojans receive Zeus' blessing and gain the upper hand.
-Zeus also stops Athena and Hera from helping the Greeks for the time being.
Book 9:
-Agamemnon summons captains
-Tells them to run
-Diomedes disagrees
-They feast
-Agamemnon tries to bribe Achilles with Bresis and other treasures
-Sends Ajax, Phoenix + Odyseuss
-Feast
-Achilles claims that he rather go home then fight
-Phoenix tells Achilles a story
-Achilles asks Phoenix to stay with him.
Book 10:
-Agamemnon talks with Meneleus
-Diomedes and Odyseus spy on the Trojans.
-Hector sends Dolon to spy on the Greeks
-Diomedes kills Dolon and other Greeks
-Diomedes and Odyseus return with the Trojans horses.
