Journal entry : A highlight of your vacation
Review of books 2-7
Book 2:
-Zeus sends a dream to Agamemnon: states that they should attack immediately.
-The troops gather
-Agamemnon tests the loyalty of his men by telling them they are destined to fail.
-Some of the men flee
-The book lists the fighters
Book 3:
-Greeks and Trojans prepare for battle
-Instead a duel between Paris and Meneleus
-Aphrodite saves Paris
-Helen talks to Priam

Book 4:
-Zeus and Hera argue about who should win the war: agree to disagree.
-Athena is sent to stir up the war
-Pandaris shoots an arrow at Meneleus wounding him.
-Agememnon spurs his troops into battle

Book 5:
-Athena gives power to Diomedes
-Diomedes has his Aristeia
-He is shot Pendarus but Athena lifts the mist from his eyes saving him
-Diomedes is able to tell gods from mortals in the field of battle
-Aphrodite tries to save Anes (her son) and he gets attacked by Diomedes
-Apollo saves Anes, but Diomedes tries to attack Apollo
-Apollo is angry and tells Ares that he should continue to fight
-Athena + Hera "take out" Ares

Book 6:
-Priam sends Hector back to to Troy
-Hector tells the Noble women to go to Athena's shrine to ask her for help
-Hector tries to get Paris to fight
-Diomedes and Hippolochus exchange stories and armor
-Hector speaks with his wife before he and Paris return to the battle
Book 7:
-Ajax duels Hector for Helen and to directly end the war.
-Diomedes interferes and the duel is declared a draw.
-Exchange gifts
-Athena tries to fight for Achaeans but Apollo stops her.
-Zeus is angered
-The Greeks feast and make wine sacrifices
-Sleep
